This rental policy constitutes a legal agreement between the renter and shall apply to rental orders placed through Jamaica Dress Rental.
Rental
Jamaica Dress Rental rents to the renter who is in full responsibility to comply with the terms and conditions applicable from the time of rental to the return of the rental. If the renter is not the wearer of the rental item provided, it is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that the wearer is aware and complies with the terms and conditions provided.
Cancellation of Rental Order
For pre-paid orders, rental can be cancelled by the renter as per the following conditions. For

Delivery
Jamaica Dress Rental shall deliver the dress ordered by the renter in accordance with selected design and size specification, on or prior to delivery date. In the event the dress is not delivered by the requested delivery date aside situations out of our control.
The renter shall be entitled to a refund without any obligations to Jamaica Dress Rental.
Delivery of dresses shall be made to the address provided by renter. Jamaica Dress Rental reserves the right to refuse to deliver to address that renter is not able to accept physical delivery.
Once the dress is delivered and in possession of the renter. The renter takes full responsibility for the Dress until returned. It is the renter's responsibility to ensure timely collection of the dress. In no event shall Jamaica Dress Rental be liable for any delays or cost resulting from renter’s failure to receive delivery of dress at the requested address.
Use of The Dress
The dress shall be used exclusively by the renter (or wearer if different from renter). No one else should try on or use the dress without written authorization.
The dress may only be used for rental period.
Return of the Dress
The Renter shall return the dress at the end of the rental period in packaging.
The renter must acknowledge that failure to return the dress as set forth in agreement shall constitute illegal possession by them. Therefore, Jamaica Dress Rental holds the rights to repossess the dress and any cost incurred to do this will have to be covered by the renter.
The Dress shall be returned in the same condition as received. That being undamaged and in good condition. Ordinary wear and tear is expected.
Payment
Payment can be done by cash or card.
A 50% deposit is required once the renter decides on the dress.
All rentals require a security deposit. The standard security deposit rate is 50% of the total rental and is to be charged with the rental fee prior to shipping. Our rental fees are determined on a per piece basis. If the rental time exceeds the agreed upon rental period, a charge of 20% of the total rental will be added for each additional week.
If a deposit is not made within 48 hours of dress selection, Jamaica Dress Rental reserves the right to make the dress available to other clients.
PROOF OF PAYMENT PLUS A FORM OF IDENTIFICATION MUST BE PROVIDED.
Cleaning
Renter is not required to do any cleaning to rentals. Please return rental in packaging and we will take care of the cleaning.
Alterations
Dress may not be altered to fit and must be returned in their original condition. If a dress is returned altered or damaged, fees will be charged to the renter. Dresses may NOT be cut, dyed, painted or altered without written permission. Tape, iron-on bonding-web, glue or any other type of adhesives may NOT be used on Dress.
Damaged or Lost Dresses
Normal wear and tear on dresses are expected and will not incur extra charges. Damage beyond normal wear and tear will incur damage charges above the security deposit. Damage charges will be assessed for broken zippers, detached garment pieces, make-up or other permanent stains or any other damage that renders the costume not rentable. It includes the cost of the supplies needed to restore the garment to its original state as well as labor costs.
Major damage to dress, including irreparable tears, or irreversible marks will be assessed at the replacement value of the dress.
Lost Dresses will be assessed with a lost Dress fee of the replacement value of the Dress.
Photoshoot Packages
Our photoshoot packages include a dress, photographer and images. The amount of images changes depending on the photographer you choose. The shoot is 1 hour. We can additionally dresses, shoot time at a fee.
Rights to Images
The client accepts that he or she has the authority to accept the use of the image of all the people who will be photographed during the Photography Session. The client accepts and assigns the Photographer the irrevocable and unrestricted right to alter, use and publish all images taken during the Photography Session for publicity, display, publication and all other educational and or marketing purposes. The client agrees to release all claims or rights to any benefit that may be generated by the use and publication thereof. The client also agrees to indemnify and defend the Photographer for all claims, demands or demands made in relation to the use of the. Images by the Photographer as contemplated in this paragraph. The photographer retains exclusive copyright protection for all images taken during the photo shoot. The client may not, without the express written permission of the Photographer, use the images taken during the photography session for professional display, profit or other commercial purposes. All images displayed on the photographer’s websites are subject to the protections in this paragraph. For all purchased images, the Photographer grants the customer permission to share the purchased images with family, friends, and on social media websites, provided the images remain unaltered and the Photographer is given verbatim credit.
Retainer
A 50% deposit is required to reserve the dress, date and photographer of choice.
Travel
We are based in Montego Bay; however, we travel islandwide at an additional cost depending on your location.
Cancellation
The decision to reschedule the photography session is left to the sole discretion of the photographer. In case the Client cancels the Photography Session. It is at the photographer’s discretion to refund the deposit.
The Photographer reserves the right to cancel the Photography Session due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to: inclement weather, illness, emergency or any other condition that the Photographer considers may negatively affect the quality of the Photography Session. In the event the Photographer cancels the scheduled session, the session will be
rescheduled at a date and time agreed by the parties.
Lateness
The Photography Session will be held at the place and time agreed by the parties. If you are late without good reasoning, your session will end at the allotted time. If we have availability, we can extend your shoot time at an additional cost.
Limitation of liability related to breach of contract
In the unlikely event that Jamaica Dress Rental and business partners are unable to comply with this agreement due to injury, illness or any other reason beyond the reasonable control of the company, the customer’s sole and exclusive recourse is the return of any payment made by the customer pursuant to this agreement. This includes loss of images that is beyond the photographer’s control, including but not limited to: fire, theft, or equipment malfunction.
Exemption from liability related to photography
Client acknowledges that modeling can, in some circumstances, be dangerous. The client acknowledges that he / she and the client’s minor children are not required to perform any act that he / she considers dangerous or inappropriate. The client agrees to inform the Photographer if she or any of her minor children do not wish to perform or participate in any act, including, but not limited to: the use of accessories or positioning in certain poses requested by the Photographer. While all reasonable
precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of any photography model, the customer acknowledges that accidents can occur. The client hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the photographer (including employees, agents or business partners of Jamaica Dress Rental) from any injury, damage or other loss that may occur directly or indirectly as a result of the photo session.
You will receive the images with 3-7 business days after your shoot. Please advise us of any special request you may have such as not posting before specific date etc.
